Name: Rachel Gender: Female
Interests: Books, movies, Eddie Izzard, anything British, friends, writing....the list goes on. I play varsity field hockey and I was on the track team until the school play replaced it in my affections. I am a bona fide drama geek: actor, techie, kunoichi (tech ninja--woot!). I love all my drama friends to death, because they're not afraid to be weird and crazy and fun. Expertise: I wish I could say writing. Procrastination is probably the only truthful answer. And yet, I still have a 4.0. *gasp* (Well, actually a 4.3. Because of AP classes and whatnot.) Occupation: Student

| So it's been obvious to me for a while now, but this is my official post saying that I'm backing out. School and college apps and just general life are getting in the way too much this year.
So maybe next year, yeah?
Good luck with the last week, everyone. Cheers.
| *sigh*
And my story isn't quite panning out the way I wanted it to. I can't get the narrator to go off on tangents like he's supposed to, nor be as witty as I wanted him to.
However, my main character has had a piano fall on her and met Richard III. So I can't say nothing's happened. I just have to write the rest of it.
Little chance of that, though, as my English teacher has decided to have us do huge writing projects in a weekend, and I still have college essays to perfect. However, I will do my best, and hopefully make it to at least 25k.
I hope everyone's writing is going well. Cheers!
| It just so happens that the first day of NaNo coincided with a college app deadline and the night I had to finish a mondo project for English.
Hence my grand total of 321 words. I think that may be an all-time low.
However, I will write extra fast and make it up tomorrow. But now, I'm going to bed. Nighty-night.
| I don't think I've ever looked forward to NaNo more. It's kind of ironic, since this is the busiest I've ever been during NaNo season, but I think NaNo will be a welcome relief from college apps and all the other ridiculousness I'm dealing with right now.
Maybe I'm looking forward to it because for once I have a pretty good idea of what my story is, and how it's going to start. It's basically a big compilation of dares, and it's going to be extremely fun to write. I'm excited.
So hopefully I'll be there at midnight tonight to start writing. Good luck with your first day of writing, everyone!
| So it's halfway through October, and I still have no idea what my story's going to be for this year's NaNo.
This feels familiar...
Anyway, I spent some quality procrastination time redesigning my site, but I wasn't feeling particularly creative, so I chose an old favorite. Hope it looks okay.
I actually almost decided not to do NaNo this year, since I'm already stressed enough what with college apps and homework and yearbook etc. But then I figured that with all I have to do, NaNo would be a nice break from it all. So here I am.
So...anyone got any good plot ideas they'd like to lend?
